This shampoo is absolutely AMAZING. I am an african-american and I have had excessive dandruff since maybe 5th grade...:-( As I got older it only seemed like it got worst. Well after using this product my dandruff is gone!!! I'm been using Nizoral for 2 months now...and it has been a blessing. I recently got a perm, and for the first time EVER my scalp did not burn...it wasn't agitated at all! It was like I was getting a conditioner...no pain! I'll be using this product for the rest of my life!
THE BEST - PERIOD......................! April 23, 2008 Dj Magic Mike (Burbank, CA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My head. What was wrong with my head??? I say this because I never had problems with dandruff until my late twenties, when all of a sudden my skin started flaking off when touched. My eyebrows, my scalp, and even my ears! Friends would make fun of my ears and say I have wax in them, but it was really just loose skin flakes. I gave it some time (a few years) hoping it would pass, trying different washing procedures, shampoos, etc. Basically, anytime I'de go in the shower.. I'de get out, dry.. and my skin would quickly follow with dryness, redness and flakes. It was ugly. Finally, I get the nerve to see a dermatologist - and I say this because I dont like doctors much. The dermo told me that I needed to treat the problem, sebhoric dermatitis. Gave me a bunch of Neutrogena anti-dandruff samples and what not. I didnt like them and pretty much threw them in the garbage. They looked and smelled very chemically and I dont want that kinda stuff on my body. A few months later I did some more research and found ingredients on Wiki about what relieves dandruff. I searched for that ingredient and found that Nizoral uses that same ingredient in their shampoo. Google + amazon = nizoral shampoo. Click to buy, a day or two later its delivered to my door and I used it that same day. Within the first, second or third use my symptoms were gone. I could care less about price, its cheap compared to the 80 dollar dermatologist visit which got me nowhere. Like everyone else said, its very foamy and cleans well. I wash my hair every 3 days and quickly scrub it in and rinse it out, I dont care to leave it in. Basically, its in there long enough to do what it needs to do - and it does it well. Since then, I've been dandruff free thanks to Nizoral. It appears that Ferrari and Nizoral are now two fabulous products that come from Italy.

This shampoo does exactly what it promises to do. It has been the only thing to cure me of my excessive dandruff and scaling. I saw immediate results after only one application. The only reason I do not give 5 stars is that this product can be extremely drying and damaging to African-American hair (as are most medicated shampoos). I wear mine natural, so I cannot say how it will react with relaxed African-American hair. However, use of a good moisturizing conditioner after shampooing can usually return hair to a manageable state. The extra 5 minutes of conditioning is well worth having a flake free scalp. And unlike many other medicated shampoos, Nizoral does not require daily use. I am very happy with the results of once-weekly use.

I have recently purchased this product because I have had dandruff issues for several years and purchased countless products and none seem to work very well. Nizoral worked to some extent, it stopped my itching but still lift my scalp pretty dry. About 1 week after using this product I started having dizzy spells and slight nausea. Anyways, I was doing some research on natural hair products and came upon an article that mentioned an ingredient that was in Nizoral that caused side effects. The ingredient was QUATERNIUM-15 which is q psuedonym for formaldehyde. Needless to say, I won't be using this product any more. Please read and research ingredients before using ANY product. Below is the article I found on quanternium.
